Key Competences of Social Entrepreneurs
2. Social competence. Networks play a crucial role in entrepreneurship by facilitating
idea generation and opportunity identification. This competence requires interacting
effectively with stakeholders and building and maintaining networks.
3. Entrepreneurial competence is necessary for managing a business, involves the
efficient use of different resources, decision making, implementation of strategies and
continuous evaluation and adjustment of business strategies.
4. Sectoral competence refers to skills related to specific sectors, includes market and
technical knowledge and experience that positively influence the exploitation of
entrepreneurial opportunities.
5. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy is the belief in one's own entrepreneurial abilities and
is strongly linked to motivational constructs. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy influences the
processes of idea generation, implementation and management.
