             THE POWER OF AN IDEA














           Selena is 21 and she is in her final year of her Masters in Bioengineering. One of her classes is

           entrepreneurship 101, where she learns the basics of turning an innovative idea into a business

           proposition. She knows that this comes from the fact that there are a lot of good ideas coming

           from the academia that never reach society. To complete this class, Selena needs to think about


           an  innovative  idea  she  believes  could  address  a  societal  challenge  or  need  and  develop  a

           business proposition around it.





           She has never though about one day working for or owning a company, as she intends to be a

           bioengineering researcher. Nevertheless, she knows there is a topic she would like to focus her

           upcoming Master thesis on: mental health, so she decides to come up with an innovative idea


           with business potential in this area.




           She  is  not  having  that  much  luck  with  the  innovative  aspect  of  a  solution  to  address  people’s


           mental health problems. And then, COVID-19 strikes!
