Case Study: Eleanor's Travelling Library
Problem Definition: Eleanor recognizes that illiteracy and lack of education hinder
social and economic progress in many areas. Lack of books and educational materials
hinders children's learning and success. Eleanor thinks that distributing books and
nurturing a love of reading empowers youngsters and creates a better future.
Creative Solution: Eleanor's Mobile Library is a modified van containing books,
educational games and learning tools for kids of all ages. She sets up pop-up libraries
in parks, community centers and schools in various villages and towns. She uses
storytelling, seminars, and literacy projects to inspire youngsters to read.
Challenges: Despite her good intentions, she meets several obstacles. She struggles to
maintain and extend her traveling library due to limited financing and resources.
Transport logistics are difficult, particularly in rural, underdeveloped places.
